General Requirements:
The government of Bangladesh refuses admission and transit to nationals of Israel.
Citizens of most countries require valid visa to enter Bangladesh. When you come in Bangladesh you must have a passport required, visa required, return ticket required.
Type of visa: Entry, Visit, Tourist and Business. Entry visas may be issued for short conference or journalistic trips (although not for business trips).
Validity: Single- and Double-entry: 6 months from date of issue. Multiple-entry: 6-12 months from date of issue. Stays are for a maximum of 90 days each.
Application requirements:
- Valid passport.
- 2 completed application forms.
- 2 passport-size photos.
- Fee.
- Letter from employer or other relevant letters for business and conference trips.
The United States is on a list of countries eligible for visitor (tourist) visas on arrival (landing permits); however, the government of Bangladesh has not widely publicized its policy for visas on arrival, and travelers may encounter delays in airport visa issuance or be refused entry if they do not have visas prior to arrival.
There are a few 5-star hotels in Dhaka. All rates are for European Plan. The Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation manages several modern hotels throughout the country. Bills are usually paid in hard currency or with travelers cheques.
Medical facilities in Bangladesh do not approach western standards, even in tourist areas.
