Chittagong:
Chittagong, the second largest city of Bangladesh and a busy international seaport. City has a population over of 2.5 million. It lies about 12 miles north of the mouth of the Karnaphuli River, in the southeastern arm of the country. The city is the commercial center for the surrounding agricultural region, which produces rice, jute, gunny (a coarse fabric), tea, and hides. It is a major communications center and is linked by rail and road with Dhaka, Comilla, and Feni (all to the northeast) and by air with Dhaka, Cox’s Bazar (to the southwest), and several international destinations, including Kolkata (Calcutta; in India), Muscat (in Oman), and Dubai (in the United Arab Emirates).
The Shahi Jama-e-Masjid and Qadam Mubarak Mosque are two of the most impressive buildings in the city. It's also visiting the Ethnological Museum in the Modern City. Its green hills and forests, its broad sandy beaches and its fine cool climate always attract the holiday-makers.
